The average of the scores for the skills included in the examination.

๐Ÿ…

Calculation

How the overall score is calculated

Each assessed skill receives a score out of 150. The overall score is the average of the skills included in the examination.

For example, if six skills are assessed:

Overall score = (Reading + Writing + Listening + Speaking + Grammar + Vocabulary) รท 6.

If your examination includes fewer skills, only those skills are included in the average. The learner platform shows the final report for your attempt.

Interpretation

Strengths and areas for improvement

Use the skill breakdown to see where you performed strongly and where you may want to focus. A lower score in one skill does not automatically lower your performance in the others; each skill is reported separately.

For a full explanation of the levels, see English proficiency levels. For the assessment approach, see assessment methodology.
